In my previous blog post I threw out a few reasons why Buska boxes are far superior to cardboard boxes, ‘but he would say that, wouldn’t he’… Mandy Rice-Davies anyone…?
For all the reasons outlined in the last blog post, here are a few practical reasons Buska boxes are a better option for moving than cardboard. If you check out the list below you’ll find a few things you’ll get in Buska boxes but not a cardboard one. The main point being, Buska boxes don’t care what you put in them. They’ll carry anything with a high degree of convenience for you and protection for your possessions.
Why Buska boxes are better than cardboard boxes
Here are a few things that might be in your house that you won’t be able to put in a cardboard box if you’re moving
Your exercise equipment like kettlebells, weights or anything really heavy will require an unnecessary solo run to your car… Unless you’re using a heavy duty moving box, like Buska boxes. There is also the temptation to pack a cardboard box to the brim. But weight may prevent you from maximising the load and sending a box to the truck half empty. Buska boxes can pretty much deal with as much weight as you can lift.
Liquid – In one of my many moves I found myself needing to transport quite a few bottles of wine leftover from a family get together. Firstly I had to do multiple trips to the car as I could only carry 4 bottles at a time and secondly finding a safe and secure spot in the car was a bit tricky. For future moves I managed to reduce my wine stock down to a manageable number, but I also transported all glass bottles from the house in one Buska box, safe and secure.
If there’s anything particularly delicate you need to transport, we will supply you with bubble wrap (costs a little extra) but the heavy duty moulded plastic will offer great protection for anything that need to be securely transported.
Cardboard boxes are great for clothes and uniform shapes like books. But they’re not so good at dealing with irregular shaped object with sharp corners or protrusions. These run the risk of punching through the cardboard and spilling the contents out on the ground.
